Moulds for the production of drainage channels

Moulds for the production of drainage channels offer a comprehensive solution for reinforced-concrete precast technology for the rapid drainage of rainwater in transport infrastructure.

Moulds for the production of linear drainage channels or slot drain channels (abbreviated as SD) are a suitable solution for the rapid drainage of rainwater from traffic areas of motorways, roads, car parks or airports. The slot drain system is designed with an internal gradient of 0.5% to ensure reliable drainage through the pipe system.

The individual slot drain channels are connected to each other by a socket and spigot to form a complete piping system. Unwanted joint leakage is prevented by the use of an integrated sealing profile made of oil-resistant rubber.

The base length of the slot drain channel is 4000 mm.

Slot drain channels can be made with either continuous or discontinuous slots

In linear rainwater drainage, slot drain channels are connected to sumps, retention tanks or local sewers through an inlet. The inlet forms a transition between a slot drain channel and utility elements (rings, pipes, etc.)

Unwanted clogging of sumps, tanks or municipal sewers is prevented by the use of a sludge bucket included in the inlet. The sludge bucket can be accessed through the drain grate at the top.

If slot drain channels become clogged, the system includes a cleaning port that allows operator access to the slot drain cavity area. The slot drain channels can be flushed using pressurised water. The inspection opening leads through the drainage grate.

The construction of the mould for the production of linear drainage channels consists of a base steel frame, which is supplemented by a form-fitted bottom, sides and faces. Moulds for the production of linear drainage channels are placed into the interiors of precast technology facilities.

Moulds for the production of slot drain channels are supplied as double moulds, i.e. one mould allows for making two slot drains that…
